Hanging Locker Shelves

I have not made removable shelves for my IP yet, but did for my previous boat (an Ericson) and they worked out very well.

I cut pieces of quarter inch plywood for each shelf that I wanted (three in my case). Each shelf was cut to fit the depth of the locker at the height I was to install it (thus accounting for hull curvature). I then placed all of the shelves together, lined them up along their fronts and two sides and drilled two holes at the front corners and two holes toward the rear (as far rearward as the shortest shelf will allow). I then ran quarter inch line through the holes on each side, tying a knot at the appropriate height for each shelf. Each side uses a single piece of rope with a loop tied in the top for the hanging locker rod to pass through.
